Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the EasyJam website at easyjam.ai and any related applications, APIs, or services (collectively, the "Service") operated by EasyJam ("EasyJam", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

The Service is intended for users aged 13 and over. By using the Service you represent that you are at least 13 years old. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, and "you" includes both you personally and the organisation.

2. Accounts and security

To use most features of the Service you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information when registering.
  • Keep your password confidential and not share your account credentials or invitation codes with any third party.
  • Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorised it.
  • Notify us at support@easyjam.ai as soon as you suspect any unauthorised access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that we reasonably believe is being shared, used in violation of these Terms, or used to harm the Service or other users.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or the rights of any third party.
  • Upload, transmit, or generate content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, scrape, or otherwise attempt to access the source code, internal APIs, model prompts, or generation endpoints other than through the user interface we provide.
  • Circumvent rate limits, authentication, access controls, or generation quotas.
  • Use the Service to build a competing product, to train a machine-learning model, or to aggregate or republish content generated by the Service in a way that would compete with EasyJam.
  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer the Service or any subscription to a third party.
  • Interfere with the integrity or performance of the Service, including by sending viruses or other malicious code, or by sending automated traffic at a volume that materially degrades the Service for other users.

4. Subscriptions and billing

The Service is available on a Free plan and on one or more paid plans (collectively, "Pro"). Pro subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you select, and renew automatically until cancelled. Payment processing is handled exclusively by Stripe, Inc. By purchasing a Pro subscription you agree to Stripe's customer terms in addition to these Terms.

You may cancel a Pro subscription at any time from the Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain Pro access until that date. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods unless required by applicable law. If you live in a jurisdiction that grants statutory cancellation rights, those rights are not affected.

We reserve the right to change the prices of paid plans. Material price changes will take effect no sooner than 30 days after notification, and you may cancel before the change takes effect if you do not agree.

If a payment fails, we may retry the charge for a reasonable period before downgrading your account to the Free plan. While downgraded, content that exceeds Free-plan storage and feature limits remains in your account but may become read-only until you upgrade again or remove the excess content.

5. User-generated content

You retain all rights you already have in any content you upload, save, or generate using the Service ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content to the Service you grant EasyJam a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, modify, and transmit Your Content solely as necessary to operate the Service and to provide the features you request (for example, by processing an audio clip through a transcription model on your behalf).

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights necessary to upload Your Content and that Your Content does not infringe any third-party right. We may remove Your Content if we receive a credible complaint that it infringes a third-party right, if it violates these Terms, or if it is required by law.

6. AI-generated content

The Service uses third-party AI providers — Anthropic, Replicate, kie.ai, ElevenLabs, and others described in our Privacy Policy — to generate musical content on your behalf. Generated material is provided for your personal practice and creative use. EasyJam makes no representation that any generated output is original, copyrightable, free of third-party rights, or musically accurate. You are responsible for evaluating the suitability of generated output for any further use, including commercial use, and for complying with any applicable third-party licence terms (for example, the terms of the underlying AI provider).

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, user-interface design, copy, original audio samples, exercises, and curated lick library, is owned by EasyJam or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right in the Service other than the limited right to access and use it as expressly permitted.

The EasyJam name and logo are trademarks. You may not use them in a way that suggests sponsorship or endorsement without our prior written consent.

8. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available 24 hours a day, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service depends on third-party infrastructure (Render for backend hosting, Cloudflare for storage and CDN, Stripe for billing, Resend for email, Modal for transcription, Replicate and kie.ai for generation) and may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, outages of those providers, or events beyond our control.

We may add, modify, or remove features of the Service at any time. Where a change materially reduces the functionality available to a paid subscriber we will give reasonable notice and, where required by law, offer a pro-rata refund.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular use.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties; in those jurisdictions the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EasyJam shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of goodwill, or business interruption, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any direct damages arising from these Terms or your use of the Service is capped at the greater of (i) the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, and (ii) one hundred US dollars (USD 100).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or fraud.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EasyJam from and against any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (i) Your Content, (ii) your breach of these Terms, or (iii) your violation of any third-party right.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account from the Settings page or by writing to support@easyjam.ai. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or that your continued use poses a risk to other users or to the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity — survive.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change we will notify registered users by email and post a banner on the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top of the document reflects the most recent version. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which EasyJam is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be brought exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring proceedings in the courts of your residence.
